“The best wedding video

Emmet & John celebrated their same sex wedding at Segrave Barns Dunany, in rural Louth. They got ready together, met the alpacas, squeezed in a quick photoshoot with Darek and then walked hand in hand to join their guests for a magical outdoor ceremony in the woods. The Humanist service included personal vows, a handfasting ceremony and live music performed by a friend, including the most beautiful cover of this song we have ever heard. Guests mingled around the grounds before entering the barn for speeches, dinner and when the lights dimmed - Emmet's hair-raising turn as Tina Turner. John's effort wasn't bad either!

It was a real honour to finally shoot a same sex wedding in Ireland. In the same year, we were also lucky to cover Aileen & Becky's outdoor Humanist wedding at Ballintubbert House and Bernard & Kelvin's ceremony at Cultra Manor, Belfast. If you'd like to see another barn wedding, check out Sam & Andrew's wedding video at the Tythe Barn, Oxfordshire (featuring football golf!).
