Anisha and Rahool's 2 day Indian wedding at Syon Park, London was a truly memorable experience for us! The couple had a traditional Indian ceremony, according to the Vedic tradition, on the first day. The Brahmin (priest) officiated the proceedings, beginning with a Sanskrit mantra and Anterapat (similar to a 'first look') where a cloth curtain separating the couple is removed as a "reveal". The ceremony continued with a symbolic water cleanse, fire offerings, the presentation of a golden necklace to Anisha from Rahool's mother, an exchange of sweets between the couple and blessings from all those in attendance. After the ceremony and a quick dress change, the couple engaged in games and communal rituals with their extended families before getting an early night.
On the second day, the couple had a Humanist ceremony with personalized vows in the stately Syon House, followed by speeches and an epic dance party at Syon Park.
